With over twenty years of clinical experience, I currently have a private practice in Delray Beach, Florida treating individuals, couples, and families. I have extensive experience helping others with relationship difficulties, divorce, parenting struggles, financial stress, and grief and loss, as well as spectrum disorders, self-esteem and self-empowerment, goal management, and career issues.
I'm originally from New Jersey where I worked at JFK Hartwyck and saw firsthand how head trauma and disabilities impact families. Later on, I moved to Chicago where I worked with families of developmentally disabled adults. I worked for many years in the Florida hospital system as a social worker, including Bethesda Hospital, Delray Medical Center, and Fair Oaks Hospital, helping individuals and families cope with illness, sudden death, trauma, and clinical diagnoses, including depression and anxiety. My early private practice dealt with families and relationships. Most recently, I worked at a community mental health center treating individuals, couples, and families with issues related to empowerment, family and romantic relationship concerns, social and emotional adjustment, boundary setting, and academic issues. In my personal life, I am married with 3 children, ages 18, 20, and 23. Figure skating is my main hobby where I do the holiday and summer shows at the local ice rink. I compete in the Adult Silver Ladies Freestyle Division. |
